42 HM stepper motors for production lines
Bruhatsen is an engineering assistant at an automotive transmission parts manufacturing company, one of the larger manufacturers in the area. Their company has multiple production lines to manufacture parts, however, in recent months, they have been experiencing problems with one of their production lines, which has had an impact on the accuracy and assembly of the parts. In order to solve this problem, they need to replace a batch of stepper motors as soon as possible.
Client need
Based on our conversation with Bruhatsen, we learned that the components on this line were heavier than others and that the motors were sometimes having trouble reliably moving the housings into place for welding and bolting, which could cause intermittent stoppages that disrupted the entire production process. He was hoping that we could provide a better solution to help him solve this problem so that their line could run smoothly and without interruption. They are currently using a NEMA 23 model motor, which provides enough torque for the lighter weight components.
Solution recommendation
In speaking with Bruhatsen, we learned that he needed higher torque motors so that the production line could easily maneuver any part. A high degree of precision was also needed for accurate placement and assembly of the parts. Since the production line needs to work continuously, the motor also needs a heat-resistant design to avoid overheating problems due to prolonged use. Based on his needs, we finally supplied our 110 Series, which is designed for higher torque applications and is made according to international standards, with a heat-resistant design for the body that can withstand temperatures of up to 80 degrees Celsius, and these designs ensure that the motor can work for long periods of time without overheating. This motor is a high-efficiency motor that can reach 90% efficiency, which helps to save costs over a long period of time. In addition, its size fits the motor mount without any modification.
Estimation
Bruhatsen was so pleased with the solution that he ordered 20 motors for use in his production line. After two months, he reported that everything was working well, that parts handling had become smooth, that there were no more stalling problems, and that he had noticed that the motors were running much cooler, even after long periods of operation. He was pleasantly surprised by all this.
